Aziz Ansari Crowd Surfing @ LCD @ MSG.
Remember yesterday how we watched all 3hrs 41mins of LCD Soundsystem’s last ever gig ever? Side note, not everyone was as excited about this as me.
Anyway, I mentioned how comedian / actor / tweeter Aziz Ansari was all over it. And here he is. All over the crowd.

For the hermits out there, LCD Soundsystem announced ages ago that they’re throwing in the towel. Tears were shed. Riots. Etc.
As a parting gift, the band let Pitchfork stream the whole performance from Madison Square Gardens. If you’re an idiot like me, you missed it, and awoke today to the whole world (including hilarity from Aziz Ansari) hashtagging about it.
Thankfully, some pirate had the genius to rip it and plonk it on the Tube. Now it’s here. And pretty soon the whole office will be getting innocuous.

So anyways, to coincide with LCD Soundsystem tearing every available dancefloor in Australia to pieces, the band, their record label, their Art Director and one lucky gallery pulled together every single LCD graphic. Posters, fliers, sketches, promotional ultimate flying discs… and stuck ‘em in a room with a bunch of hip-ish Sydney kids. You’ve already missed out, so it’s kinda cruel that I’m even posting this, but I’m just that kinda guy.

This weekend disappeared into one continuous gig maelstrom.
With a few sleep breaks and occasionally a break for a breath of new music. Here’s a breakdown:
The new Theophilus London jam hit the streets and instantly violated my speakers.
Mr. Hudson leaked a track from Yeezy’s new album Power.
Here We Go Magic melted the Pailas. Grizzly Bear did OK too.
Jens Lekman proved he’s still incredibly amazing.
LCD and Hot Chip tore Festival Hall a new one.
Opiuo turned it up to 11 at HiFi Bar. Dancing Omelette anyone?
I finally saw Delphic (take that volcanic ash cloud!). And they blew my mindz.
Sleigh Bells’ A/B Machines got a tasty French Horn Rebellion remix.
And now I count down the seconds until The Drums take make me their Best Friend.

Holy LCD!
Boy, do I love a good remix. And what do I love more? A great music video. So when I found out Holy Ghost! funked up LCD’s Drunk Girls and this guy made a spankin’ new clip for it, a big part of my mind exploded a little.
It makes me want to jump in the next suitcase to Portland, build a tall bike and join this jousting club. I’m pretty sure their first and second rules are You do not talk about jousting punks on tall bikes club. And the third rule is all about living in slow-motion. All the time.
