MK12 invites you to the drive in for a little fun.

I’m gonna be honest with you. I’ve had a mo-graph crush on MK12 for years. Sorry IllouraMRPPP, but the Kansas dudes rulez supremez.

So when I got to work and found a trailer for a new in-house project titled ‘Fun At The Drive In’, I screamed a little. Girly, Beiber-mania screams.

Monday Mograph.

This is like the Postal Service of motion graphics colabs. As far as I can tell, Skyence is based in Hamburg, and Johannes Timpernagel in Berlin. There was music and pictures flying through the internets and some program called VVVV and the end result is called INSCT

Those crazy Germans. Note to self: introduce yourself as Mr Timpernagel at more parties.

MK12 are up to no good, again.

Ever since I was a design student, hunched over a G4 in the basement of Massey University until the mysterious hours of every morning, I’ve had a mo-graph crush on MK12.

They had me at UltraLoveNinja and Sweaterporn. Then re-ignited the infatuation with the cowboy-tastic History Of America. And now they’re burning my synapses with what can only be explained as a 3D experiment in the marriage of old school sound-o-files and nu-school-o-animation.

Go for a wander with Hermanos Inglesos.

Actually don’t. They’ll spike your berry, and you’ll be trippin’ for hours. And trippin’ bad. With cannibal sparrows, exhibitionist unicorns (NSFW) and a coronary-inducing circus ride. And you’ll end up… just watch.

Thanks to Kristof Luyckx & Michele Vanparys for disturbing me in ways I never thought possible from illustration. And Hermanos Inglesos feat. MeMe for providing the soundtrack to my daymares.

Fact: I like both motion graphics and facts.
Fact: The combination of motion graphics and facts is bad ass.
Fact: This video combines the two. And is therefor bad ass.

Superelectric just superblewmymind.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been writing a home loans brochure for the last few hours and my mind is in a fragile state, but this video for Noisia’s latest single Machine Gun got me all kinds of excited. Okay, just one kind of excited.
