All 3:41:13 of LCD @ MSG.

For the hermits out there, LCD Soundsystem announced ages ago that they’re throwing in the towel. Tears were shed. Riots. Etc.

As a parting gift, the band let Pitchfork stream the whole performance from Madison Square Gardens. If you’re an idiot like me, you missed it, and awoke today to the whole world (including hilarity from Aziz Ansari) hashtagging about it.

Thankfully, some pirate had the genius to rip it and plonk it on the Tube. Now it’s here. And pretty soon the whole office will be getting innocuous.

Jonze v Gondry v Cunningham. You know I love a good list. Gosh darnit we all know I love the music videos. And as for the 90’s - meh. But one look at Pitchfork’s Top 50 Music Videos of the 1990s and the nostalgia of waking up early on a saturday (MTV didn’t hit NZ until recently) to watch out for the latest hits came flooding back. Shock horror, the list is dominated by the greats. And for good reason. Those dudes made the most of the money and medium back in those heydays. But the moral of the story - you just can’t beat a good idea. Call in sick and max your broadband here. Chris.via Pitchfork.

Winter sux.

I’m wearing three layers. The heat pump is on. And I still can’t feel my fingers.

So it probably wasn’t a great idea to watch the latest Animal Collective clip, filled with warm, beachy, overlayed, sun-soaked, 60’s-ish, surf-slash-skate fun times. All I could think about was jumping in the van and heading down the coast. Until I realised I’d lost movement in my toes and the only thing left to feel was jealousy.

Rusko’s Mad Decent weekend.

All I had planned this weekend was a whole bunch of SFA. But after watching the latest Rusko clip, all I wanna do is shave half my head, chain smoke and party like my career depended on it. 

The track itself is extra nice. And not the unholy kinda nasty dubstep you’d be swaying to at Roxanne’s at 4am on a Sunday. Probably because of The Dirty Projectors little angel, Amber Coffman.
